Combat Negativity

Combating negativity in the world starts with us. What we say sets the tone for our lives and the lives of others. So before we speak about ourselves or respond to others – especially on social media sites, take the thought captive and T.H.I.N.K. about it:

T – is it true? Remember, facts change, the truth does not.
H – is it helpful? Will it improve the situation?
I – is it inspiring? Does it motivate positive change?
N – is it necessary? Does it have to be said now?
K – is it kind? Is it uplifting and give hope?

“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.”

II Corinthians‬ ‭10‬:‭4‬-‭6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Reader, I pray you have a blessed and joyful 2023!

  1. As a short story writer, I know firsthand the power of words and the impact they can have on others. It’s so important to remember to T.H.I.N.K. before we speak or respond, especially in this age of social media where our words can be amplified and reach a wider audience. Let’s use our words to spread truth, positivity, and kindness, and strive to be a force for good in the world. Thank you for sharing these reminders and have a blessed and joyful 2023 as well!
