I have to admit, initially I was shocked at the things I currently see in the media. The pure evil that comes out of mouths of people tells me just how dark their souls have become. This didn’t happen overnight – but occurred because we, as Christians, comprised on the truth of God’s word and allowed it. I remember the old saying; “If you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything.” That includes false doctrine that is meant to divide the church. A “woke” church is a dead church.
“But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit.”
Jude 1:17-19 NKJV
I’ve read stats that says 50% of churches support unrepentant sinful behaviors that the Bible clearly state would not inherit the Kingdom of God. I believe these stats are false because what Jesus called His church (ecclesia), would stop being the church if it supported unrepentant sin. I refuse to fall for the gaslighting. Those stats refer to government institutions that are permitted to be called “churches” – not the church that belongs to Jesus Christ.
“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.”
I Corinthians 6:9-10 NKJV
Although I have learned many insightful things from gifted Bible teachers, I have grown much more by studying the Bible myself. I am also able to discern when I hear things that are not scriptural – and I reject it. I learned not to put spiritual leaders on pedestals. Far too many pastors have given in to “woke” ideology claiming they are showing love. What they are exposing is a self-serving heart, a spirit of fear, and the absolute opposite of love by not speaking the truth.
I am also called to be a leader (minister), and I do that by equipping others with the truth of God’s word – pointing them to Jesus. I was made to think at one time that I needed certain endorsements to share the gospel. I praise God for showing me that I don’t need permission from an institution – I was already given a command from Jesus Christ.
Jesus said; …“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.””
Mark 16:15-18 NKJV
As I walk in the Truth, may He be glorified!
Well said. It is very sad to see how many ‘woke’ churches there are and that they believe that they are following God. But scripture is proving itself true in the last times. Thank you for sharing this.
