Healing starts with forgiveness

We’ve all been hurt to different degrees in the past. In a lot of cases the pain has faded, in others we choose press it down and live with it – and then there’s the pain that we choose to identify with. This pain can transform us and distort reality as we try to compensate to get through another day. It’s a deep pain that touches our soul, and it can last for generations – if we allow it.

If we want justice and wrongs to be corrected the right way, we must do what God says; “Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, “VENGEANCE IS M INE, I WILL REPAY,” says the Lord.” (Romans 12:19) In other words, we forgive and give it to Jesus. Why? Because the sin that caused your pain is paid in full – just as the sin you committed.

You were not designed to inflict pain or to carry it. Nor should you live in fear. “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.” (John 14:27) We were created to worship, love, and fellowship with God together – through the gifts He’s given to each of us.

The world has taught us to self medicate and live sick – blame shift and take a pill. Jesus gave us the cure – we must repent and forgive to get rid of what poisoning us, then receive and walk in the blessings. I speak from experience.

I pray for blessings and favor upon you and family in our Lord Jesus Christ.
