I base and maintain relationships on the principles and precepts taught by Jesus Christ. In other words, we don’t have to always agree – I’m going to love you regardless.
I was born in the United States, and I’m a proud American. I consider it a privilege to have have been able to serve in the military defending my fellow Americans. I was raised in the beautiful state of North Carolina – where the Word of God, hard work, and good common sense was instilled in me.
I don’t need anyone to speak for me. I’m not oppressed. My country is of full of opportunity. Don’t try to put me in a box or category. I know the difference between a nationality and a “race”. I don’t want to be called African-American because it’s not true – I already said I wasn’t born in Africa. Other than filling out some government form, I really don’t see the purpose of being identified by a race which happens to be black. My wife, who happens to be white, feels the same way. As a matter of fact, if we want to help race relations, getting rid of all the category boxes is a great place to start.
