Christian or follower of Jesus Christ?
You would think they are one in the same, but I beg to differ. Jesus asked us this question… “Why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?” (Luke 6:46). Simple question, but considering the state of the church in America, it’s an extremely hard one to answer with complete honesty. Yet we cry out to God to heal our land of all the injustice, sickness, and crippling fear that we see. I believe Jesus would say to us what He did to several He healed – “Get up!” (Mark 2:11; 3:3; 5:41)
In other words, the power is present, we need to move!
Jesus makes it clear; “I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5). We have the answer to our woes – we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13)!
We can love each other through this “pandemic” that was born of evil. We combat this evil through reverent fear of Jesus, not the propaganda saturating us. “By lovingkindness and truth iniquity is atoned for, And by the fear of the LORD one keeps away from evil. When a man’s ways are pleasing to the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.” (Proverbs 16:6-7)
These dark days will come to an end – Jesus is moving, it’s time to get up.
