Obedience is Key

Talk is cheap – especially in these times where so many have so much to say about nothing. Why judge words when actions show true character?

People spend a lot of money learning how to say the right thing at the right time – but usually for self promotion, power, and influence. Don’t get me wrong, a good education is valuable and needed. But understand that education is not a true test of character – what you do with knowledge is.

Let me put it another way; the amount of letters you have behind your name, the number of followers on media you have, or the number of zeros in your bank account – has no bearing on your place in the Kingdom of God. Jesus wants to see your response (in everything you do) to His love for you. Jesus Christ taught us this…

“But what do you think? A man had two sons, and he came to the first and said, ‘Son, go work today in the vineyard.’ And he answered, ‘I will not’; but afterward he regretted it and went. The man came to the second and said the same thing; and he answered, ‘I will, sir’; but he did not go. Which of the two did the will of his father?” They said, “The first.” Jesus said to them, “Truly I say to you that the tax collectors and prostitutes will get into the kingdom of God before you.” (Matthew 21:28-31)

Let that sink in. Our actions now show what we believe. Now is what is important – because God is always in the now.
