Keep your eyes on Jesus

In all the chaos around me, I asked God what do I do? Life happens! You can’t hear for all the noise. But God is constantly speaking – showing Himself, His attributes are clearly visible since the beginning of creation so we are without excuse. (Romans 1:20)

Holy Spirit brought back to my remembrance:

““Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.”” (Psalms 46:10)

I’ve gotten to know God, like you- through everything He has brought me through. To know is to trust, to know is to love Him.

Do you love Jesus?

How do you know? Answer these questions:

Are you satisfied in Him?

Are you focused on what He called you to do?

“He *said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, [remember Peter denied Him three times] “Do you love Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus *said to him, “Tend My sheep.” (John 21:17)

The response Peter gave was a synonym for agape – but being asked repeatedly made Peter remember his denial. It’s easy to say “I love ….” in our world with so many connotations. The real connection is when we have revelation- Jesus you know all things! Jesus is sovereign.

A beautiful promise:

“The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.”” (Psalms 91:14-16)

If we love Jesus, we need to keep our eyes on Him.

“Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.” (Colossians 3:1-2)
