Hot & Cold

“‘I know your deeds, that you are not neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot. So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth.” (Revelation 3:15-16)

The battle lines are clearly drawn, both sides are entrenched and playing this war game for power far too long. It’s the worse kind of battle – trench warfare (heavily used in WWI). Each side take a defensive stance giving themselves a false sense of security while destroying countless lives. Doesn’t matter if you’re on the red or blue team – you lose regardless. What we are facing is not about left and right, it’s about right and wrong; good and evil.

If you haven’t already, it’s time to break camp. God is never on defense. If the enemy sets a fire, He can bring a flood. If the enemy builds a fortress, He can bring an earthquake. But the weapons of offense Jesus chose are love, compassion, humility, and your prayers.

There is no middle ground – there is only death and destruction between to entrenched camps. How many spiritual leaders lost their way trying to mediate a worldly battle? They forgot they were fighting a spiritual battle and got caught in the cross-fire. Don’t allow that to happen to you.

Stop the rhetoric and speak the Truth. Note I didn’t say argue the truth – Jesus doesn’t need defending, He wants obedience. Get in the Word, live like you believe it, and the world will be transformed.
