Culture

Culture has been used as a reason to divide us, when in fact it should be one of the wonderful things that draw us together. Culture doesn’t make us different from one another – it’s an outward expression of our adaptability, creativity, and imagination. Under the layers of color and traditions we are one people – …”fearfully and wonderfully made…” (Psalm 139:14) beginning with Adam and Eve – our DNA proves it.

To stop the fear, hate, and tribalism we are seeing today – we all need to recognize our one true culture as a part of God’s Kingdom. The culture that Jesus taught is above every culture developed by man. In most cases it’s contrary to our “common sense” when it comes to dealing with each other. This division developed because it was cloaked in “diversity”. Why? There’s profit and power for some in separation. The enemy doesn’t want us to realize the true power of our inheritance – when we accept who we truly are as brothers and sisters.

When we pray; “Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10) – do we know what we are praying? Do our lives reflect it? Do we really mean it? Kingdom living is not for the faint at heart.
